    Right. No matter …
Right. No matter how stressed or depressed you are, you have a choice…get help, or hurt your little one…thats a choice some unfortunatly make. Its not excusable.

    lol….its all …
lol….its all about petty revenge:) Woman were low on the class scale and even though we have are equal under the law, some feel men just dont get it and want some payback…kinda immature, I know:)

  4. mimis122 Says:

    the reason for that …
the reason for that decifiency is that HIStory has all been from the perspective of men… women’s focus in contemporary society is as a response to this. The mainstream is male to begin with.

    Men’s health clubs …
Men’s health clubs were closed after AIDS hit the spotlight in the early eighties.

    I am still looking …
I am still looking for the college course “men’s issues” – haven’t found it yet. Of course, neither is there a “men’s hospital” or a local “for guys only” health club! I think women would sue us for such things!!!!

    perhaps a study in …
perhaps a study in women’s issues might help.

    My grandfather used …
My grandfather used to raise minks, and there was a problem with them eating their young. Is it possible that those mothers, being cramped in cages, eat their babies because of this depression? Also, do mother rabbits and other animals sometimes eat or abuse their babies due to post partum depression?

    Common sense. Thank you.

I don’t care how stressed you are, it’s no excuse for murdering your children.

  13. yomamayomama7 Says:

    I have actually …
I have actually studied stress for decades. “Stress is always a choice” refers to things like having anxiety while in traffic, getting mad at someone’s behavior, nervous before a school exam, etc. That is a matter of choice, though most folks don’t want to take responsibility for their behavior. If someone forces your hand into a workbench vice grip, that stress is not a choice! Thank you for the reply.

“stress is always a choice” … umm, do you understand what biological stress is? apparently not.

  15. yomamayomama7 Says:

    Actually, we choose …
Actually, we choose how to interpret and handle our experiences. Stress is always a choice. I know we are in the era of “nothing is my fault” so this is not a popular view. A great example is heavy traffic – some people stress out with it, and some people enjoy slowing down for a change – their choice!

I was very stressed during my last pregnancy, and my baby ended up having a lot of health problems while she was still inside me and after she was born.

    My suggestions… …
My suggestions… Find people you can talk about your problems to, find people the father can talk about his problems to, ideally including people who have been there, and keep in touch with your friends.

  20. luckyodeler Says:

    I agree with this. …
I agree with this. Not everybody inflicts stress upon themselves, and there are appropriate times for mourning. Having a baby IS a stressful event for normal people, who have to figure out how to afford a child.
Also, I feel that much of post-partum depression has to do with a complete change in lifestyle, not being able to leave the house, and constant bombardment by relatives. Imo, these social factors are equally important to the physiological factors.

    I ’twas a hard to …
I ’twas a hard to handle baby., I guess mom was under alot of stress.. then again I was born with kidney stones so I was in constant pain for eight months. >>

  22. iamwhoiamnow42 Says:

    “her own lifestyle …
“her own lifestyle choice has helped to create” hole!!! not all stress is created by choice. Sudden death of a parent or spouse and struggling with poverty is not a choice. Many other factors besides choice contribute to stress of a pregnant mom.
